This is exactly what it is like having a conversation with my mom. And it put me on the extreme opposite end of the spectrum. I would often apologize for things I had nothing to do with. It has taken me a long time to recognize when it is appropriate for me to take responsibility and when it isn't my responsibility. And that vacuum of waiting for someone to do the right thing is so uncomfortable.

when my partner and have a disagreement I have to take a step back from him,but he'll want to talk like nothing happened and I want to talk it out and he says he doesn't want to,so i just ignore him after that,and gets annoyed when I shut down and I tell him u make me do that and then I go back to being silent.
