@chanelica.r: How to make pikliz 👇🏾 Prep the Vegetables: Cut the cabbage into quarters and shred it thinly using a mandoline. Shred the bell peppers and onion using the mandoline as well. Peel the carrots using a peeler. Combine all shredded vegetables in a large mixing bowl. 2. Make the Brine: Combine the lime juice, white distilled vinegar, and scotch bonnet peppers. Blend for about 30 seconds until the mixture is not chunky. 3. Season and Mix: Pour the brine mixture over the vegetables. Add the Knorr chicken bouillon. Mix everything thoroughly by hand, ensuring the vegetables are well-coated. 4. Package: Transfer the mixture into a clean glass jar, pressing it down, and pour any remaining brine from the bowl into the jar. #healthyrecipe #healthylifestyle #healthymeals #glp1community #fiber

I hate pikliz with vinegar. It’s supposed to be made with lemon and sour orange juice. Adding vinegar just ruins the flavor.

Guys! For fermentation do a salt brine for a few days & then go in with the vinegar / scotch bonnet mixture - sorry forgot to that process for this batch 😭! That’s how you’ll get your probiotics!

this looks incredible 😩 I love pikliz but my digestion could never handle it before. I was always so bloated and uncomfortable after eating. Then I read Eat Like a Woman Protocol by Loren Green and fixed my gut issues. Now I can enjoy stuff like this again without the pain. Lost 28 lbs too and my stomach is so flat. This book was a lifesaver honestly)

There are no probiotics in that pickle recipe because vinegar does not allow probiotics since they cannot grow in that acidic environment to have a probiotic. It would have to be fermented with salt water.

I wanna try!! I love Haitian food, I’m Salvadoran and my mom makes “curtido” which is very similar and tastes delish with our pupusas and salsa. It’s great to see how recipes can be so similar but from different cultures. 😍

Natural Lacto-Fermentation: To gain probiotic benefits, pikliz must be made using a natural brining process (water and salt) that ferments the sugars in the vegetables rather than an acidic, vinegar-only quick-pickle method

If you put vinegar and knorr isn’t probiotic! What has to do knorr with eating healthy??? It is the opposite 😂
