@adivunsolicited: You ever notice how black the world cup is? Every country seems to be represented by its best black athletes but not Argentina. The World Cup isn’t just a tournament. If you know how to read the squad lists, it’s a living map of the transatlantic slave trade and global empire. Look closely at the rosters. From France and England to Brazil, you can reverse engineer the entire history of Western colonialism just by watching who takes the pitch. For most teams, the lineup is a reflection of historical displacement. The lack of Black players on Argentina’s squad isn't a demographic coincidence. It is the calculated result of a 19th-century government campaign designed to systematically erase Black people from the nation all while stealing and sanitizing the culture, like Tango, they left behind. Every other team is evidence of what colonialism did. Argentina is evidence of what colonialism intended. The all-white squad isn't an anomaly. It was the blueprint. #worldcup #argentina #BlackTikTok #BlackHistory #argentinatiktok
What PMO as an African, is when they ask why there are barely or NO White, Asian, American Indigenous, etc players on African teams. Because African countries didn’t go to every continent colonizing others, occupying their lands or enslaving the people there and taking their resources for centuries!! We also didn’t move MILLIONS of Non-Black people by FORCE to our countries to work under us. The Non-Black people that did come to our continent came with the INTENTION to colonize us and have hierarchy above us. Even passing Apartheid laws in many African countries. Imagine doing that in someone else’s land! And they still exist in many African countries TODAY. So don’t try and reverse uno and ask why we barely have Non-Black players on our teams. They are welcome to play for our countries, but they weren’t talented enough to make it, that’s why you don’t see many of them on our teams. Simple.
