Since the day Yoda arrived on April 12, 2025, he’s spent 23 hours a day in his kennel, waiting for someone to notice him. The stress of endless days in the shelter is wearing heavy on this young pup. When Yoda finally gets his chance outside he shines. He walks gently on leash, and his whole face lights up when he gets to play in the yard - but those moments end too quickly. Yoda is bright, happy-go-lucky 2 year old Shepherd who’s always eager to spend time with his favorite humans. Always has the most enthusiasm, and a wagging tail, this young Jedi is ready to win hearts across the galaxy. Yoda’s favorite mission? Fetch. He’ll happily chase a ball at lightspeed and even trades toys for treats like the gentleman he is. He knows commands like sit, paw, and down, and walks nicely on leash. While Yoda loves people, he prefers to take the scenic route when making new dog friends. Thanks to his success in our doggy playgroups, we know he can be social with proper introductions and may do well living with another compatible canine companion. He may even be open to sharing his starship with a dog savvy cat.
