am I the only one that thinks they just didn't trust the audience? they want people to get be invested in Supergirl and don't want to risk people liking the villain more than her so took 0 chance with that. not that I'm saying they made the right decision just that once again Hollywood thinks they need to dumb down movies.

Krem is such an interesting villain concept in the book because he just can NOT beat Supergirl. All he can do is run, however he’s such an evil manipulative man that he makes getting to him that much harder

Didn’t read the comic but i thought the movie was fine. Not with all the hate it’s getting. I get it’s “based off the comic” but comparing it , to me , means you are basically setting yourself up for disappointment.

I would have been less angry about the ending if the writer had said something like, "We have a plan for Kara's arc that's going to take place across multiple projects, so we didn't want her having this revelation by the end of this movie," instead of "I didn't get the ending."

Krem has a teleporting ship, teleports to planet with green sun. So why didn't he teleport to Ruth's planet with his ship? why didn't he just keep teleporting the ship to the green sun facing side of the planet? why does his durability and strength change so much?

**Comic spoiler warning** The only change that I feel was truly off script is that in the comics Kara wanted to help Ruthye but didn’t want her to know that, so she lied about Krypto needing the antidote, whereas In The movie, Kara actually did need to get the antidote, and ended up liking Ruthye on accident. All the other changes were in my opinion just things to make a movie more fun while still checking enough boxes of the original story. They definitely skipped some stuff but it’s a movie not a series so there probably just wasn’t enough time and money.

Idk the book was boring af so I had such low expectations that kind of enjoyed the movie but they picked the most boring writer ever to use as source material. Definitely wish they would have changed more from the awful comic

Why will they never understand? A movie is only as good as it’s villain. Can you think of a movie with a well written villain, that is not good? Can you name a single good movie, with a poorly written villain?

He wasn’t a big player in the comic so why dose it matter😭😭 plus we already got a normal looking person being evil in Superman so I like the change and makes the scenes he’s in feel more intense

I fear what you just described from the book would not be an interesting thing to watch on screen at all. Just a voucher normal guy being mean for means sake is not an interesting character trait.Not to say the movie did a perfect job but at least me personally I despise the unapologetically evil characters and not in the oh hes the bad guy so you don't like him sort of way but in the why does this character exist sort of way

While a agree with u that Krem was a better Villain in the book. I don’t necessarily agree that u have to copy/paste the book either. Everyone loves Tim Burton’s Batman films, but Joker didnt kill Bruce’s folks, alsoCat/Pengs origins differ as well. Just a different take yet those dont get criticized

That wat frustrated me about the movie. He was terrified of her. She should have dog walked all them from the start. Still a fun movie but these changes made this more mediocre than it could have been.

i think general audiences would complain about krem being flat even more if they kept him 1:1 to his comic counterpart. he’s just a weak villain either way and the change doesn’t take away from the stories main focus of traumatized kara wanting to protect the innocence of ruthye

I enjoyed the film for what it was, but was disappointed that it missed all these haunting moments from the comic. the Blues & Purples planet is harrowing, and seeing Kara help people with their grief are some of the best parts

I’m not a fan of the book but I do think Krem is one of the highlights, he’s such a normal dude it works so well. It highlights his depravity, he kinda looks like the fantasy adventure protagonist of yesterday, and seeing him have to resort to magic and armies to stay ahead of Kara is really interesting. Really not sure why they bungled it so hard for the film
