I’m on vacation and had someone with chemo hair tell me they liked my hairstyle. And I’m like… what do I say? ‘Hey, this bus only gets off at one stop’ ??? Then I’m at a gift shop and the girl at the till says ‘I see you have a prosthetic leg’ and I say ‘yup’ and she says ‘me too’. And I’m like… um… I’ve only been an amputee a year and literally have never met another amputee. And I don’t know what to say to her. I felt so bad I think I need to go back tomorrow and apologize. I just don’t know what to say.
