The Lord had spoke this to me for the past couple of days. He’s been leading me to break down my pride. I realize that when I grew up, I learned to associate validation with safety. If someone co-signed who I was, or who I thought I was, then I felt safe to breathe. Not even to be myself. It corrupted my emotional state as well, and for a while I have been making decisions about what to feel based on if my friends or the people who chose to misinterpret my character supported me or not. This season, that will be no more. I know God is moving me. And where I’m going, people pleasing and shying myself away isn’t feasible. Thank you for sharing this.

When we walk with God we know we’re not part of this world: we don’t try to live up to the expectations of people/society. Some us learn this at an early age and some at a later in life. So, if you ever feel alone in a crowd it’s not because something is wrong with you but God tapping you on the shoulder, you’ve been chosen and you’re loved by Him and nothing else matters.

This was me when I testify at church I was always sooooo nervous every single time and afraid because I wasn’t a strong speaker but the more I did it the more I realized testifying is to glorify God to glorify Jesus Christ and what he’s done for me in my life and now it’s definitely easier
