@tmdteephlowbackup: James Kwaku Tuffour (1954–2020), popularly known as 9-9-2-4, was a legendary Ghanaian Highlife singer, songwriter, and keyboardist with a music career spanning over 40 years. He started as a keyboardist for Alex Konadu's One Man Thousand Band, later joined Wanto Wazuri Band, and became the lead singer of Waza Africo Band. He launched his solo career in 1979 after gaining experience in Nigeria with King Sunny Adé, releasing his debut album Highlife Romance. Tuffour became famous for blending traditional Highlife with Burger Highlife, producing timeless hits like "Abeiku," "Owuo Sei Fie," "Adeepena," "Manu Me Ho," and "Ka Na Wu." Beyond music, he served as the Second Vice Chairman of GHAMRO and remained one of Ghana's most respected Highlife icons until his passing in 2020.
