People think an Arnold Palmer is a Southern drink, actually a Northerner’s drink. People think it’s attempt to combat the sweetness my balancing it out or cutting it with the tart lemonade, but Arnold Palmer actually preferred unsweet tea mixed with his lemonade. Dude was also from Pennsylvania, where they actually drink unsweet tea, which is an abomination. Whenever I go to the West Coast or further north, I always have to ask for simple syrup if I’m ordering tea but most of the time I don’t just because I don’t feel like being let down.
