@gioooh_: Replying to @mary v sharing more about what I’m doing for work in Mexico! This has been my personal experience, full of ups and downs, and this is what I, personally, have learned so far! For anyone looking for information about work in Mexico, I encourage you to listen to different experiences and seek out as much information as possible. If anyone has any tips/advice/personal experiences on this topic, please share! 🫶🏼 #dreamer #lifeinmexico #immigration #wfh #mexico
Can confirm, I self deported after I found out there was a removal order issued. I got a remote health care job on LinkedIn that’s based out of the US. I’m hired basically as independent contractor and I send in an invoice twice a month. It’s part time and pays USD, so yes it pays way less than you’d get paid in the US but the money goes farther here. I only work part time but after it converts its more than I would have made working full time working an average job here. STILL ‘taking their jobs’ even from Mexico. They can’t keep us down we will thrive no matter where we are

My current job is fully remote but because it’s in the medical field and due to hipaa I couldn’t do it from another country, however there’s other companies who allow it as “independent contractor”, they pay decrease is insane, for a job I get paid 26/hr doing they would pay me 6/hr doing it from Mexico :( it’s so frustrating

Girl, I can relate a lot with your story. I moved back to Mexico in 2012 after having no options DACA was not even a thing back in my days looking for a job and finding a job is definitely a huge struggle. I am blessed to be back in the USA legally, but that time spent in Mexico, man, I value and hold close to my heart. I really hope that your transition and adaptation comes easily. You’re doing really good. I’m proud of you. You got this.

Hii 👋🏼 thank you so much for sharing this, I’m currently working as a remote medical interpreter but just like you say, it’s very sad to see the difference from a US based job and seeing the interpretation diminished as a call center job, so we’re paid so so little must of us need a 2nd job … I’d also like to work for a nonprofit but I’ve never lived in the US and my English is not 100% “ americanized “ so, can you share what’s been your experience about proof of language fluency? Do they ask any type of certification? Or, overall, have u seen they hire people with no experience working in the US? Thank u so much 🙏🏼
