to anyone whos worried, dont be! we, as a planet, will never reach the attractor itself. the accelerating expansion of the universe due to the big bang is driven by dark energy, that energy will push it away from us first. thats because the space between superclusters isnt tightly bound by gravity, the expansion of the universe causes the distance between us and the attractor to grow faster than out approach! a much less comforting reason is that the milky way will most likely collide with andromeda, which sounds violent, but it would rather be the 2 galaxies forming into one. that collison is set to happen in 4.5 billion years, long before we could even reach the attractor. It’s honestly so crazy how we will never see anything more than what we already have in our lifetimes. We will die not knowing the secrets of not only our oceans but space as well. I hope when we do go we get to learn about everything in the afterlife.
