To say Katy Perry isn’t an album artist when she literally has what’s called the “Bible of Pop”, and songs like “Legendary Lovers” currently charting that weren’t even singles is crazy work. Also even Chappell Roan (who’s literally mentioned in the video) has said that she’s an inspiration for her. And you can’t even say that with “Teenage Dream” all that matter was the singles cuz the only reason why there were even so many singles was cuz all the songs are so good they could’ve been singles. Even songs like “Part of me” (reached n°1) and “Wide awake” (reached n°2) were only released for the deluxe version

The big difference is that artists like Gaga,Taylor,Chappel,Olivia they right almost all their songs with just some help from others, in the case of Katy Perry is the opposite, she mostly collaborates in her songs but they are mostly written by others. Now she can’t find good writers and struggles to produce a hit.
