The journey started from Karachi through the Hussein valleys of Balochistan, but before reaching the destination, fortunes changed so much that the journey turned into a tragedy. Following the guidance of Google Maps, the family reached the Sansan area of Dasht, where there was no leader or helper, then suddenly gunshots rang out, and in a few moments everything changed. A father was killed and a mother was injured in a shooting by unknown gunmen, while two little girls were forced to witness the resurrection before their very eyes. “The Father, who was a shadow, slept in the dust. Every dream of two little eyes, then disappeared.” This tragedy is not just one family, but a question for all of us. In those lands, where the safety of the traveler was once considered to be respected, where the sanctity of the woman and the respect of the guest were part of the traditions, such incidents are heartbreaking. “How did the rituals change? The shadow of peace, they swallowed the path.” Finally, the two innocent children return with their father’s dead and injured mother; a journey that began in search of happiness, turned into a lifetime of misery. Perhaps she still thinks she went out with the hope of having fun, but when she returned she was left with a body, a wound and unforgettable memories. Do not ask them what they see with their eyes. They were happy, they were sad.” Instead of making this tragedy a source of hatred or prejudice, let us see it as a necessity for the protection of innocent lives, the rule of law, and the establishment of peace.
