I’m in college rn but how did you put yourself out there despite not being as active as those around you? Like make connections etc. We definitely share the same sentiments and experiences in life (shifting programs). I don’t tie my identity on academics and I’m also hungry for money. 😆 I do take my education seriously but I also believe networking is just as important!

I’m a 1st yr college student, and I really want to step out of my shell more. I’m involved in orgs, but I still find it difficult to form genuine connections and build a network that goes beyond simply knowing people. I wanted to ask if u have any advice on how to build meaningful, lasting rs, especially if ure naturally introverted and tend to feel tired after socializing. How can u become more “magnetic” or leave a lasting impression without feeling like you have to be outgoing all the time? When it comes to networking, how do you build relationships where both people can genuinely support and help each other over time. And r there any types of orgs u would recommend for someone who wants to improve in these areas & meet people who could become meaningful, long-term connections?

Love this! My experience was entirely different. I got depressed in college and just want to get out of UP ASAP hahaha. I agree with you though, iba yung challenge and training na ibibigay sayo ng UP na talagang makakahelp sayo in the real world. I also want to say na you seem very adaptable and you're the kind to get what you want. 💯🤏

did you ever felt na inubos ka ng up? getting humbled wasn’t also an issue to me because I have already been exposed to that kind of envi since hs but i feel like nobody ever talks about the dread and emptiness you feel after graduating, esp in up. im graduating soon but the mental stress never left and idk how to recover from this. totoo nga yung joke noon na kaluluwa ang kapalit. im thankful for my experience in up pero there’s also a hint of resentment (? idk if that’s the right word).
