I grew up in North Bay Ontario in the 60s where they had some of the 56 bomarc missiles witch had nuclear weapons on them. decommissioned in the 1970s

you failed to mention when we gave up our nukes to Russia we also got UK and US security guarantees meaning the US and UK was supposed to help defend when Russia invaded. just another broken promise from the US and UK

There are rumors that Sweden has the components to assemble a nuclear weapon. It makes sense because they have nuclear power and until recently were neutral and during the cold war opposed to the Soviet Union. However, I've never seen any hard evidence that it's true. 🤷♂️

Rumor has it that Sweden got very close or possibly even had all the required parts and material before its nuclear weapons program was shut down. The fact is that we did have research reactors capable of making fissible weapons material and we did have a program to build a bomb.
