@evermoresea: If there’s one thing I hope my children always know, it’s this: You can come to me about anything. Not just when you’ve done well. Not just when you’re happy. But when you’ve made a mistake, when you’re confused, when you’re scared, when you’re carrying something too heavy to hold on your own. I don’t want you to spend your life wondering if I’ll be disappointed. I want your first thought to be, “I need to call Mom,” or “I need to tell Dad.” Because life will teach you enough hard lessons. I want our home to be the place where you find honesty, guidance, grace, and love. I know I won’t always have the perfect words. I’ll make mistakes as a parent too. But I promise to keep showing up, to keep listening, and to keep making sure you know your voice has a place here. I want to be the parent you laugh with, cry with, ask questions to, and trust with the parts of your life that no one else gets to see. Years from now, I won’t remember every toy I bought or every place we visited. I’ll remember the conversations we had at the kitchen table, the late-night talks, the car rides where your heart opened up, and the moments you trusted me enough to let me into your world.
