this might be a hot take but i loved the ending the concept of like we shouldn’t be together but i love you more than anything else and they will always be living in fear together by doing this “forbidden” thing but they know they will both be safe next to each other in love

Yeah Leviticus isn’t a good story if ur operating on the strict structures of setups and payoffs. It is very much just a fictional reflection of a very real experience and very realistic status quo. Still a great movie for those who understand that tho

hot take: this movie is over hype, the plot just keeps building and in the end they decided to throw it away, just to have a "love wins" "together we will win" scriptwriting. I love the horror and jumpscare but the ending is just a bit off, especially they didn't show the blonde boy POV
