We think love is always something that comes closer, but in the way Allah deals with His servant, love can also be distance. A door that does not open. A person who does not stay. A connection that breaks before it becomes your destruction. You were not always meant to understand it in the moment. Because if you saw what Allah saved you from, you would not be crying over what left, you would be falling into sujood out of relief. Sometimes Allah removes a person who would have weakened your heart until you forgot your worth. Sometimes He blocks a path that would have looked beautiful at first, but would have slowly taken your peace away from you. And the heart does not accept this easily, because the heart only sees what it desires, not what it needs. But Allah sees the end while you are still in the beginning. He sees the nights you would have cried because of someone. He sees the confusion you would have lived in. He sees the version of you that would have drifted away from yourself just to keep someone close. So He steps in, not loudly, but perfectly. And later, when time passes and your heart is no longer shaking over what left, you begin to understand something deep enough to stay with you forever. That not everything you lost was meant for you. And not everything that was taken was a punishment. Some of it was mercy so precise that it only reveals itself when your heart is finally safe enough to see the truth.
