The last 10% of the book should have been the last 20% IMO. She should have shrunk some of the overwritten parts in their childhood to expand on the present. But I did love it!!!

I loved it too. I am shocked that so many people don’t like it because they don’t think it’s actually horror. It is definitely more gothic in style, but I really felt that creeping dread.
