Wendy :
For me, having two boys attending a private school as one had a disability, I drove them back and forth every day. I volunteered in their classrooms, worked at the school store, helped with every class party, and chaperoned countless field trips. I handled school projects, all homework and tutoring work, all doctor’s appointments, coordinated sports schedules, and attended every game and activity.
At home, I took care of the cleaning, cooking, shopping, and household maintenance. Being a full-time mom requires an incredible amount of patience and dedication, but it can also be repetitive and mentally exhausting at times. The hardest part is that much of what you do goes unnoticed. You work tirelessly behind the scenes, and there is often very little recognition for all the time, effort, and sacrifice that goes into raising a family.
