Nine years ago i met a young lad who came into my area to do a diver training course, we ended up hanging about every so often but being 19yrs older and single i ended up having feelings for him but they were not reciprocated but such is life and he moved on after his course. We sporadically kept in touch and met up once after that. But things evaporated and we lost contact but maybe a message every once in a while. Fast forward to this week as it was my friends birthday and she wanted to go away for the night so we planned a night away with another friend, we had plan a but changed it to plan b but that didn’t work out so we went back to plan a. As a gay man we have hook up/dating apps which i use on a daily basis. Whilst being on them this week i noticed his profile on the grid but not near me and i could not access it, so i kind of thought to myself i wonder if he is in the area we had booked to go too, i thought nothing more about it until we were on the road the following day. As we were nearing our destination i went onto the app and noticed that his profile was getting closer so the probability factor of him being there was more or less a reality now, and it was. So i could now get access to his profile so i messaged him. He replied a while later so i told him why we were here and where we were staying, that’s when he said that he was also staying in that same hotel, i was totally taken aback. He arrived on site after his work and i introduced him to my friends and he ended up joining us for drinks. We were due to out for dinner later and he was also invited but in the first instance he politely declined but changed his mind and ended up with us for the duration of that evening. We also had some alone time to catch up on personal matters which i don’t need to discuss here, nothing sexual just private. Now i believe whole heartedly in the power of synchronicity because ever since communication was lost i’ve always been haunted by him in various ways, his first name, his country of origin and occasionally his nickname. This seems to me that the universe has played its hand in this fortunate set of events leading to a fateful meeting between the two of us.
