@isabellavalentine01: No financial advice here but just two ideas people may utilise, most likely the first one as the second holds far more risk. Update: you can turn off interest earned on cash!! #investing #PersonalFinance #investment #stocks #stockmarket
Why would you do this? The tax is 22% on any interest earned. If you turn off the interest earned on cash option you are getting 0% but keep it on and you are at least getting 78% of the 3.8% interest, effectively giving ~3%

Just invest or utilities the £500 interest limit outside of an ISA first. Majority of people won’t even have enough to pay interest let alone the need for an ISA..

Tbh paying the tax is more financially beneficial than either of those 'hacks'.
Your money is doing nothing while the trade waits foe the price to hit... whike if you left it as cash instead waiting for the price, that cash will grow slightly even with the tax on the interest.. better 3.5% interest raxed at 22%, than no interest

Deciding your price before the market opens and letting the order do the rest removes the worst variable in investing which is yourself in the moment

The tax is for interest only, not the actual cash. Unless you’re using the stock isa as a savings account, you don’t need to do anything
