let's take a lil lesson with me today basically high AND low temperatures are horrible in the UK due to something called humidity and the moisture and the reason for our high ass humidity is the fact the UK is literally SURROUNDED by water, humidity makes air temperature feel even hotter when at high temperature and it works vice versa making cold temperatures feeling EVEN COLDER!!!! and the way people calculate how hot/cold it actually feels due to temperature of air and humidity is used through the heat index and the reason for the humidity making us feel hotter is because it traps the moisture meaning our sweat (our cooling system) to not be able to evaporate making us feel hotter then it actually is, so because the UK was in a heatwave with temperatures like 36°C with 50-80% humidity it actually felt like between 45-55°C which any sane person would know is hot asf and not only that, UK homes are built to trap heat as we are usually in very cold conditions only making heat even worse, with. old temperatures the heat from our body literally goes to the surroundings making it even hotter and the humidity helps that process making. it worse anywhere else so yeah have a good day and you learn smtn new with something called research 🥰
