Dad, How in the world has one year went by without you? I’m preaching in Oklahoma & Texas this week, doing what you instilled in me to do. You would love these teens I’m preaching to this week. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you. It’s been the hardest year of my life. There’s never a time that I drive to the church and pass the cemetery that I don’t look over and think of you. There’s not a trip we go on or seafood we eat, that I don’t think how much you would enjoy it. Going to Myrtle without you felt like a crime. I can hear you, “oh Charlie, be a man son! Press on!” And I have. I actually think you would be proud! Life will NEVER be the same without you…. You would be so proud of how good Kokomo is doing. Bryan is about to get married! Eli Ray is doing great! Mom is doing really well. She still shouting in church and waving her hanky. Mindy, Jared & Braden all came to hear me preach in West Virginia last week! Becky, Tucker, Syler and Everlee are all doing really well. But there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t miss you! It’s true, “we do not sorrow as those that have no hope”… but we still cry. Matter of fact… I’m cryin right now! lol. But we are going to keep pushing forward, just like you taught us to do. I hope you’ve been getting them hugs that I ask Jesus to give you from me! I’m so thankful for heaven I love you and look forward to seeing you again soon! I love you dad, “Charlie-Boy”
