I need people to understand that Daemon is not a perfect, always present amd loving father to neither of his children, not to Rhaena, not to Baela, not to Jacaerys, not to Lucerys, not to Joffrey and not even to Aegon and Viserys, but those are HIS children, HIS hatchlings, HIS family...and there is nothing that Daemon holds higher than family, that's a huge part of his character, the fact that for him family is above everything and this one, this one he built with Rhaenyra and their children, is the most precious family he ever had for this family, HIS family didn't ignore him or pushed him aside like everyone before, his family trusted him, learned from him and they knew they were safe with Daemon's protection and advice...they mean everything to him, but one thing about Daemon is that he will always hide his emotions behind sarcasm and indifference and then break completely in private...
