This is where 1960s/1970s North American feminism has brought society to...celebrating "strong" women such as Betty Friedan, Germaine Greer, Susan Sontag, and all their grandmother's they view as heroines. We are on our 3rd generation of strong, powerful, independent women...as many of today's educated, career focused women like to refer to themselves as being, but just what exactly does that mean, especially in terms of their relating to the men in their lives...is it "We don't need you...or...Get out of my way...or...I'm the boss in this relationship"?. Men find this confusing...being expected to lead, provide, and protect but then when doing so being accused by their woman of being controlling or domineering. Off the top of my head I can name several uncles, friends, cousins, my brother, whose spouses demand to wear the pants, make all the important decisions, domineering and oft times publicly humiliating their men, esmasculating them to the point where their husbands practically check over their shoulder before opening their mouths. It's a sickening sight, to see good men reduced to feckless servants.
