in ukrainian it’s «чумацький шлях» (chumatskii shliakh) = Chumaks’ way. Chumaky (plural) were wagon-based traders and haulers in Ukraine. the milky way in greek is just called “γαλαξίας” (galaxias) which is sorta derived from the ancient greek word for milk (γάλα/gala). so for us it literally means milk or milky circle
