As a Japanese American who is from there and lived there, etc. The trains are one of the best parts, if you can manage. They are part of the fun. I love the hustle and bustle. I love looking out the train window as we pass through neighborhoods. I love the sounds. If you’re in Japan, I’ll hope you’ll take the trains!

I felt like this in Paris! I was taking trains but every time it rained the trains stopped and that pissed me off! So I took Ubers! So much easier and better! I don’t care of the cost I care about convenience.

if you slow down the train system isn’t that confusing imo. But I think it depends on where you’re going because I think some places at certain times might be better with taxi (airports, flea market, etc). I think saving money for food or other expenses might be more worthwhile. 🤷🏽♀️def good to share options tho!

so glad you liked Japan (our home for 10 yrs) but us living here would never do ubers. it more expensive than just using the robust public transportation ❤️

I take both and Google map was my best friend for trains. It helped me get around in train stations😂

If your in a group the uber literally the best especially when getting back to the hotel but honestly the trains in Japan are really easy to navigate and plus the little songs that play on the platform is worth it too.

Yes ma’am!! My first trip I was ran ragged on the train system and the last time I went I just chose my peace and Ubered or taxi. It also helps a lot to pick an area to be in for the day and not jump around neighborhoods too much. But I absolutely agree with this 🙂↕️🙂↕️
