Now, reports are circulating that a memo has been sent to members of the Tigrayan business community in Addis, warning them against supporting their people in Tigray and threatening fines or action against their businesses if they maintain such relationships. If true, this is deeply disturbing and raises serious concerns about intimidation and discrimination. After everything that happened in the past, I honestly struggle to understand why so many Tegaru continue to invest heavily in Addis. Why build businesses where trust and security have been so fragile? Is it short memory, hope that things have changed, or something else? No one should ever be threatened or punished for supporting their own community.
