Haters of after s2 fail to realise s3 onwards are the healing stages of Carmy and his cast and the change was fully intentional, till we get to s5 where we merge the style chaos and denial+anger of s1-2 with the healthy acceptance of what’s been built up after. It’s a beautiful show

I will never not get emotional during that scene of carmy and Richie. Carm is so angry, he’s suffering from his grief, the stress of the restaurant, and all that pent up anxiety. instead of meeting him with that anger back, Richie aggressively tells him he loves him, it’s so powerful and just the perfect display of their relationship

I’m actually happy for people who don’t ’get’ this show. It means they have no experience with real grief, or real trauma to understand the slow, non linear healing process and how messy it is - and that it never really goes away, but you grow from it, and mold yourself into it, get better, remember what/who you lost, live for them and their memory.

anyone else notice in s5 there was no recognizable music how they normally needle drop. apparently Hanz Zimmer produced the score. supposed to reflect the maturity and growth of the show, pretty interesting. love those needle drop moments, i always had my shazam ready
