I do wanna make an additional tip/correction for a few things. Yes you can also just walk the opposite direction from the sword, not only just perpendicular to it or 45 degrees from it. For VBO (Voidbound Operator), one method you can try out is count the ticks you hear ingame (20-12-12), just count these and you'll be fine. And for Kolona you can also hold your ability as long as you want as long as you don't accidentally surpass what Kolona originally displayed, since it is the casual version of Kolona, all you need to do is watch out for these numbers (8,9, or 10).

I just started playing and the game is becoming incredibly frustrating, because the movements are incredibly stiff and when jumping or diving I can’t change my direction at all, there’s also a lot of slipperiness like walking on ice and changing directions is extremely slow and stiff, I’ve seen others gameplays and those things aren’t even present what am I doing wrong
