I manage a gas station. We dont pay well. I wish it was more but the owners think 11-12 an hr is enough. I try so hard to make my employees life easier. Any time off they want is approved. They don't work themselves to death because if they need a break I will do it. They are allowed to sit on their phones and watch whatever as long as the store is good. Even with that low pay I have had the same crew for 4 years. Why? They tell me I would rather be happy than wealthy.

i currently make $15/hr in Utah and only work ~25 hrs a week. I'm lucky and have cheap rent in a decent place close to my job. and I'm happy because only working 25 hrs means having tons of time to pursue my passions of making YouTube videos and enjoying life

It seems like people don’t have time for themselves anymore because of the cost of living and people need money to live. If we went back in time when one wage covered so much and had some freedom in your spare time. People were happy back then.
