Totally worthless in the heat here in Arizona where we have triple digit temps 4 months out of the year. The car gets close to 200° when it’s in the sun.

You’re forgetting one thing. Hottest phone mount? Exactly. Your phone bakes in the sun causing it to shut down. Not good, especially when you’re using the gps. A phone mount isn’t just about the mount. It’s also about not burning up your phone. Especially in desert states.
