Self tanning is like clock work in the summer months My favourite tan for the deepest color is Bondi Sands foam in dark or extra dark —Tanologist is also a notable fave Below are some of my top tips MOISTURIZED BASE -days and even weeks before even beginning to make self tanning part of your routine you must moisturize your skin consistently -moisturizing your skin means when it comes to self tan on DRY skin you won’t have dry patches for the tan to cling to (which avoids making it patchy) SHAVE OR EXFOLIATE -I shave at least one hour before tanning (I don’t like shaving the day before because then my legs aren’t as smooth the next day when I do my tan) -if I have old tan on I’ll also exfoliate that off with a wash cloth or sponge after soaking myself in a bath of warm water APPLY TWO COATS -applying two coats is the key to a darker and longer lasting tan -either apply one coat, wait 30 min-1 hour and then apply another OR apply another 6h later after your rinse in cool water and completely dry off APPLY SEQUENTIALLY -this means you aren’t slapping on your tan wherever… start with your legs, then back, stomach, arms and chest/neck (I never fan my face) * avoiding your knees, ankles and elbows and save them for last only using the residue of tan on your mitt not adding more -being sequentially allows you to be thorough and not miss any spots SLEEP TO BAKE -sleeping with your tan on in loose comfy clothes allows your tan to really set it for 6+ hours and delivers best results COOL RINSE & MOISTURIZE -when the tan has baked for at least 6h (or more) cool rinse in a super quick shower —pro tip!! Lightly use a small amount of feminine wash to remove the tan smell (iykyk) but be quick about it and use cold water to avoid removing any tan. Pat your skin dry and moisturize with an oil free moisturizer to prolong the longevity of your glow Sadly, I don’t have any amazing tips for successfully tanning your back :( I usually have someone around to do it for me 😅 #fyp #foryoupage #SelfCare #selftan #selftanroutine #tanologist #bondisands #tanologistwater #tanologistexpresstan #tanologistglow #winterskincare #selftantips #selftanningroutine #selftanroutine @Bondi Sands @t@
