You can get a bus from Amsterdam to Brussels (2 hrs) then the Eurostar from there.

yup we had this to! we’re going from brussels now but it cost extra £240 for the eurostar, hotel was £140 plus the £60 to brussels and the £20 metro. Eurostar better pay because you can’t cancel the trains and not have any spaces on trains for the next week. we were literally stranded.

I was in Amsterdam last week and got stuck on the Eurostar for 6.5 hours on the way back. Half our train was in France the other half was in Belgium

Try the DFDS ferry to Newcastle, but in the meantime hop on a train to the Hague there's availability in the hotels there.

It's because there is an issue with the track just south of Rotterdam. Get to Breda with a train first. Then Breda-Brussels. Then international train to London
