I went down the river while I was there, it’s a great activity when it’s super hot outside. You just have to pay attention and know when to grab a line and when to get out (you should probably also be a decent swimmer)

As a lifeguard and water safety expert please just remember to be vigilant in open water like that that isn’t guarded, you could save someone’s life! I come from a small town where none of the students I’ve worked with as a teacher received swimming lessons and so now I fear for those who don’t know how to swim or not well in currents 😢
