@its.anya.lacey: I have absolutely no shame when it comes to what I do for work… except when my family asks me to explain it. It’s one thing to explain social media, content creation, algorithms, and brand deals, but then comes the part of my job that I’d really rather not elaborate on over Thanksgiving dinner. Somehow it always turns into me trying to carefully dodge certain details while hoping nobody asks any follow-up questions. At that point, I’d honestly rather point out a squirrel outside the window and completely change the subject. It’s just easier for everyone involved if we all pretend “I work on the internet” is a complete explanation.
