I was looking at my 3 and a half years old at her gymnastic class. She is always jumping around happily and laughing and I Though "Wow... She is everything I would have been" And it heal something in me ♥️

My childhood wasn’t horrible, but I don’t ever remember love, or affection. There are some situations I wish my Mum hadn’t put me in though. I fear that I’m becoming a horrid parent though. I think I shout too much. I have no patience. I’m think I’m turning into the parent my kids don’t deserve & I’m not ok with that. What if I’m the problem & not my parent? What then?

"Your son is so much like you." No, my son is what I wished I could have been. I was more worried about making too much noise, or taking up too much space, anything that would have drawn attention to me always resulted in a frightened response. My child is FEARLESS when it comes to living in his home and I'm so so glad I can give him that. He is loud, his unapologetic for being in his space, he is always on top of us and while yes, it gets frustrating if I've got a lot going on, I wouldn't change it for a second.

I know this goes both ways but I noticed some people who have had hard childhoods they are so kind and compassionate and caring people. But very harsh to themselves…

This brought tears to my eyes. My children are only almost 9 and almost 2 but they're nothing but themselves, loud, happy and always come to Mum for the random cuddle. I hope this is something that lasts forever 🫶

Something simple like peaceful sleep. I simply didn't't have it. The fact that my son can sleep safely and happily in his own bed, in a quiet house, having childish dreams means a world to me. The cycle has been broken

I tell my kids 100 times per day that I love them, that I am proud of them and that they are smart and kind. I tell them that I believe in them and apologize when I make mistakes. Everything I was never told.
