I’ve been living alone in Japan for 4 years now, and my quality of life here is better. I am not stressed nor depressed. I don’t work overtime. People at my work place are not toxic. My apartment is peaceful. No toxic neighbors, too. I get to save money for travel and other stuff. I get to travel locally and internationally multiple times a year, but mostly a weekend trip around Kyushu. I’m still not fluent in Japanese, but people are always nice, patient, and understanding to me. My life in Japan is great. 🤗

I’ve lived in Japan for 9 yrs now and i love it here.. i will be going back to my country for a year.. but i will be back in a year from now. I simply love the place, people and culture here! A lot of people told me the same things that are being told to u.. of course there were rough patches too but i have learned a lot about myself if not anything!

I really needed to hear this. I was in a really depressed place, and I loved and adored Japan so much all the times I visitied and stayed, that I mentioned to a friend I wanted to make a goal to live there one day. They completely shot me down on how horrible it would be, because her time living there. And it always made me really sad.

Yup this is so true! I’ve been here for 10 months and it’s been SO amazing, yes there were some things to adjust to but there can be a lot of opportunities and so many kind people willing to help you

This is great advice for migrating anywhere else in the world tbh. And chasing down something you really want, people will always be negative to you. Because they don’t want to see others succeed where they failed. I wanted to go to artschool and improve my art. So what did I do? I just did it. Even though people kept telling me “oh you won’t make money with that job” or “oh I wanted to do that too but it’s such a difficult market oht there you’re more likely to fail” so? Isn’t that what life is all about? Falling down and getting up again. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how you chase happiness or a good life. What matters is the journey there and allowing yourself to experience different roads that can lead to the right path.

Japan is great. Every country has its own flaws. I’ve been living here for ten years, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s not always easy, but the safety, convenience, culture, and quality of life make it all worth it. Like anywhere else, you learn to adapt and appreciate the good while accepting the imperfections. ✨🥰
