Flogging your children is one of the worst things you can do. When a child is beaten or punished for asking questions, speaking up, or resisting, they slowly learn that thinking for themselves is dangerous. Instead of raising confident thinkers, we often raise fearful adults who stay quiet, obey authority, and avoid questioning bad ideas. This fear can last into adulthood. It makes people easier to manipulate by fake pastors, corrupt politicians, and other abusive leaders because they are afraid to challenge authority. Critical thinking is simply asking questions like: “Is this true?” “Where is the evidence?” and “What happens if this is wrong?” Africa does not lack intelligence. It has millions of smart and talented people. What many people were never taught was the habit of questioning, thinking independently, and looking for evidence before believing something. If we want a better Africa, we must stop raising children to fear questions and start raising them to think.

hmmm 😏 omo I no sure say e get person wey dey floog for my hood reach me, simply because I always disagree with most decision of the leaders either in school at home or at work, I was labeled most stubborn boy, just because I'm always against oppression from all those leaders which others people are being submissive to.

It has always made no sense to me tbh coz after flogging a child in the morning when they get to school coz their parent couldn’t afford to pay the fees, what then? what does that do ?? Does that automatically put money in the parent’s pockets to solve the issue ?? Or flogging a child coz their parents weren’t at leisure to attend a PTA meeting ?? Like how are these things even normalized? what in the absolute illiteracy is even that?
