Business development has to be the non-negotiable even when everything else feels urgent. The ones who make the transition successfully usually treat BD like a second job before it becomes their only job. What's the one BD activity you'd tell someone to start with before they leave corporate?

I'm in the same situation but I'm not sure how to start this process of business development. Did you ever reach out to complete strangers, how did you reach out to people in your network you haven't talked to for years?

I have done that numerous times. I now have a place holder in my calendar that repeats every week in order to keep building relationships
