I hated this scene, it felt sexist and hypocritical in my opinion, the subplot centers around dylan being bullied and it was hurting him bad enough for the parents to step in, bran mentioned that he transferred to a different school when he was bullied but the rest want the son to fight back (assuming that the bully is a boy) then cop out when it’s revealed that the bully is a girl and mentions that hitting girls is bad and assuming that girl bullied him because he likes him, if the genders were reversed, people would call it enabling and abuse if dylan was a girl and the bully was a boy
