This was an issue I experienced in my last relationship. He’d say I was “excited” or something of that nature, when we were just kissing (and that’s all the plans I had for the moment). I remember one time he had stayed the night and was on his way out for work, our goodbye kiss was a little too long I guess, and he said “I don’t have time for that rn” and I realized just that. I was kissing him as a complete act, I always felt fulfilled at the end. He was kissing me as a warm up for something else. He had time to kiss me, just not time for the stuff he wanted it to lead to.

I had to have a conversation with my husband bc he didn’t realize he did this. We started having dedicated kissing time every day that doesn’t have to lead anywhere and that helped.

i'm sure you're just using euphemisms to avoid having the video flagged, but it bothers me when people use the term "physical intimacy" to refer only to intercourse and not to the full range of physically intimate behaviors. like, you said "why does kissing always have to lead to physical intimacy?" but kissing IS physical intimacy! it's not leading to it, it IS it.
