Ford LTD is ball knowledge. right now I drive a 2010 toyota tundra with the 4.6, real wheel drive and 170k miles. I bought it fot 6 grand from an old veteran who passed, and he treated it very very well. Odds are this thing will make it past 300k miles easily, which is like the lifespan of 2 brand new cars. I don't care about technology, I don't really care about fuel mileage (id spend more money actually buying the new car than actually just continuing to gas up my truck) and why the hell would I wanna do that. 2012 is when a lot of manufacturers started pushing emissions bullshit and its been harder to diagnose and repair any newer vehicles yourself.

Vaseline will cause the rubber to swell, which is why it’ll slip, because it will physically get bigger, making the issue WORSE! Stick deodorant or bar soap is good for in a pinch. On the topic, Vaseline can be used to help with leaky door / sunroof seals because, again, it will swell the rubber!

When your belt squeaks, you most likely need to replace the belt. Sometimes adjusting the tensioner will do the trick. Putting soap on it is just masking the problem.
