Sadly, Occupational health recommendations are ignored so often. It’s ridiculous

Tbh most of that would’ve gone on legal fees.. so she actually didn’t get much at all.

As John McEnroe famously said, "You cannot be serious!" What's the point of commissioning an OH review, only to ignore its findings and recommendations? I feel really sorry for this employee. Thanks, as always, Belle, for posting another interesting (if scarcely credible!) case.✌🏼🫶

Employer ignored the first and second OH report. Third OH report did not implement anything

My job hasn’t listened to half the suggestions from occupational health, they’ve allowed me to have an extra 60 second break

And yet my union rep says there’s less than 51% success rate to take legal action so now I’ve got nothing. Kmt

Sounds about right but don’t forget the written warnings for taking time off due to work related stress

My work just use the line of ‘it’s a recommendation, it’s not a requirement’ …

so of that £12k what did she actually get from that after the legal fees involved?

The issue is that employees cannot safely take cases to court without the risk of becoming in serious debt or bankruptcy if they lose the case

Literally my life right now. 6 weeks signed off for burnout …. I have returned to a department thats way worse than when I left it and external colleagues saying it fell apart without you.

my Occupational Health report stated that the manager named in my grievance shouldn't be handling my FAR meetings, but the same manager issued stage 1 absence letter, and not waiting for the report to decide my next steps. The HR haven't considered to change the manager
