My employer still hasn’t had a meeting with me since my occupational health appointment and I’m still working in the same conditions that I raised several grievances for

Tbh most of that would’ve gone on legal fees.. so she actually didn’t get much at all.

My work just use the line of ‘it’s a recommendation, it’s not a requirement’ …

As John McEnroe famously said, "You cannot be serious!" What's the point of commissioning an OH review, only to ignore its findings and recommendations? I feel really sorry for this employee. Thanks, as always, Belle, for posting another interesting (if scarcely credible!) case.✌🏼🫶

And yet my union rep says there’s less than 51% success rate to take legal action so now I’ve got nothing. Kmt

12,000 isn’t really that much… especially because she will have to pay tax on it… she would’ve been better off staying there and negotiating a ex-gratia payment…

Isn’t OH just advisory rather than compulsory ?

My GP advised an assessment in my sick note but nothing happened so after 5 months I quit. Sad part I was just back at work manager ask how can they help, I explained workload too much (was literally doing other people's work too,) then within a couple of hours same manager telling me to do the same stuff. Left end of March, still no work, absolutely broke but the job stress was worse.

My job hasn’t listened to half the suggestions from occupational health, they’ve allowed me to have an extra 60 second break

I’m in this situation currently with my current employer. I want to quit so badly but unfortunately I worry that if I take him to court, I don’t know how to handle references for future jobs.

But what if the employer claims that the workload is not overwhelming, but that the employee cannot manage their time well?
