What many mistake for a fresco is actually the largest oil-on-canvas painting in the world-an astonishing 443-square-metre masterpiece depicting the Martyrdom and Glory of Saint Pantaleon. Artist Gian Antonio Fumiani devoted more than twenty years to its creation, achieving a breathtaking illusion of depth and perspective that continues to leave visitors speechless today. La facciata incompiuta non lascia immaginare ciò che custodisce al suo interno: alzando lo sguardo si apre un capolavoro che sembra dissolvere il soffitto nel cielo.
