Two of our daughters were born 4 years to the day apart from each other. I still have no idea how that happened....but the guilt I felt leaving for the hospital on my then 4 years olds birthday (rushing her to open presents at 8am in the morning before leaving). 😆🤦🏽♀️I have always asked the older of the girls how they want the birthday and now that the youngest is older I ask them how they want to celebrate. Mostly they have chosen separate celebrations, but occasionally joint parties. They know that neither will get their friend party on the actual birthday because that will always be a family joint celebration day. The oldest of the two was not only made to share her birthday but she was also made into an only child that day. It hasn't been easy but I feel it's very important for them to feel special.

as a boy/girl twin we stopped friend parties together after our 7th or 8th birthday but our family party is still together at 14

My kids are August 15th, September 5th, September 15th. If we had 3 separate parties instead of one big one, not everyone would go. It is too much to expect from friends and family within one month.

I have an August, October and 2 November babies…we combine birthday parties over here. They’re all only a year apart and I’m not inviting the same people over a week or two apart to celebrate all over again. On their individual birthdays we make sure to celebrate them one on one though.

Once kids get a little older I’d say school age is stop doing them unless they want it. Me and my bsf were 1 day apart and we liked doing them together sometimes
