@pedsdoctalk: I have been sitting on this news for a while, and I am SO excited to finally be able to share it: I am writing a book!! 📖🙌 It is called Loving Limits, and I am so proud of what it is becoming. This is not just another parenting book that tells you to be more patient and calls it a day. This one actually explains what is happening in your child's brain and body at every stage, so the next time your 2-year-old loses it over the wrong colored cup, or your 7-year-old argues like a tiny lawyer, it stops feeling so personal. It will be actionable, relatable, take into consideration developmental age AND ability. It discusses why I deeply care about limits not from a "it's important for them way" but a health and mental health way. It will have scenarios including those very relatable pushback moments and how to navigate it. It will recognize YOU in the room and why it's so dang hard to do this work. Limits and love were never opposites. They were always meant to work together. That is what this whole book is built on. I have the most incredible team behind this - my agent Tess at Europa Content and my editor Elysia at Flatiron, an imprint of Macmillan. And we are going international with secured imprints in multiple countries. Thank you INTERNATIONAL @pedsdoctalk family! Now I want to hear from you. What do you want included in this book? Drop it in the comments below so I can make this book as helpful as possible for this incredible community. THANK YOU for all of your support in helping me get to this point! Dr. Mona :
Also fun fact- I came up with seven book ideas before this one. SEVEN. It hasn’t been an easy process but none of them felt quite right so I kept at it. And then when this idea came to me, I knew it was the one. Loving Limits is the book I wish every parent had on their shelf, and I cannot wait to get it into your hands. 🙌 Drop your questions, your biggest parenting struggles, your "why does my kid do THAT" moments here. This book is for you, and I really do mean that.

I have 2 questions: how do I wean my toddler of pacifier and baby bottle for milk while supporting their cries for it? How does a parent manage one child on the spectrum (typically has big explosive feelings) and another neuro typical child when setting boundaries/ transitions?
