My biggest issue is that he changes the lyrics to songs. Yes, I get that they're his songs, but I want to get drunk and sing along with him. I understand that he gets bored doing it the same way every time, but I pay my hard earned money to be entertained, not for him to be entertained. If he wants to be entertained, then he can switch up the setlist on a nightly basis, he's got a string of hits bout 2 miles long, he can definitely do that.

my dad loves hank williams, so when hank williams jr went on tour in our little town, I bought the damn tickets for me and my dad... then my brother got word of it and he wanted to come as well, along with my SIL... me and sis were on the lawn and I gave my Dad and My brother the good seats... we had the BEST time EVER! Good Ol' days! I just wish I could have seen my Daddy's face, while there, but my brother said he turned into a young man again! No regrets! My Dad is 74 this year.. I hope to be able to do something special, like this, for my dad again.. My mom passed so I can't do anything for her.. he is all we have now.

I have never heard it explained this way. I get frustrated as well when I hear people fuss about the way he performed. I know every time I have ever seen him since the late 80s it is always a different show but the ONE thing you can say is The Bama Band never misses a note. They are right there with him every twist and turn. If you fuss about the show…you just don’t get it.

I saw him in the 90s on the Mississippi Gulf Coast he played his hour plus and someone else didn't show up Hank played for another hour and a half!!!! The band went back stage and he JAMMED RIGHT BY HIMSELF!! BEST CONCERT EVER.

ive always been a jr fan although when i seen him live in Knoxville i was slightly disappointed in his hiphop twist he put on the night. i will always be a hank jr fan and will attend every show he brings to Knoxville

I sahib for the first time in the 1960's. I can't even tell you how many times I have seen Hank Jr. Seeing Hank in the 80's was a once in a lifetime experience. He is the GOAT ❤️❤️

I remember hearing that in the 1980s, it was very widespread rumor. I've never seen him live and I've never spread the rumor. He's notorious for lyrics changing of songs. I think he adopted the practice from blues artists. They definitely influenced Hank Jr.👍👍👍

I been a Hank Jr fan since I was a Tot, my brothers too. My moms favorite song was Born to Boogie! I’ve been to many of his shows. He is an ICON!

Hank has always continued to reinvent himself since he quit traveling and doing his father's material providing an income for his Mother till he became a Man of his own right and pursued his own career learning from the other great singers along the way and still fosters others along his journey with his big heart 😉 Thank you again for sharing this with us all Sir and remember there will always be Nay Sayer's by those that "can't" against those that "can" do that were born with "Want To" 🫂🙏🙏🙏
