I switched to Deezer when King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard left Spotify. I did a bunch of research on which platforms pays the artists the most and went with Deezer.

Finally something is being done. My friend showed me a band the other day and I look into the bio and it said the band has been around for 25 years but the earliest songs released were in 2025

Its a great feature, but detected by what? Any AI detection Ive seen explained has just been AI itself (plus the low hanging fruit of checking metadata for obvious tags saying "Created by [popular AI program]")

Would absolutely love the option to block AI from coming up on all platforms. At the very least streaming services should be notifying us it's AI and giving the option to block just the "artist" so we don't have to fight the algorithm all the time

I'd completely forgotten Deezer existed. their music selection and UI used to be terrible. if they've improved on that, then I'll definitely consider switching to them to get rid of AI slop
